Beeswax Candle Care

Live.Simple. hopes your candles bring joy and light while filling your space with beautiful and unique scents. We also care about your safety and that of those around you.

For the safest, most effective way to enjoy our candles, please follow our care tips listed below:

*Do not trim wick before lighting

*When lighting for the first time, burn until the wax melts across the entire surface all the way to the sides of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and helps to create an even surface to burn for the entire candle's life. This first burn can last anywhere from 1 ½ - 3 hours of attended

*To preserve the integrity of the vessel, do not burn your candle more than 4 hours at a time.

*Soot can form on the inside of the vessel even when following these care tips. If it happens, extinguish the candle. Once it's cool, wipe the vessel with a clean, damp cotton cloth and relight the candle.

*Try to keep the wax pool clean of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.

*Use care and caution when extinguishing the candle, so not to cause hot wax to splatter.

*If your candle starts to flicker or smoke, or if the flame becomes too high, please extinguish using a safe technique above. Having your candle in a drafty area can cause these issues to happen. Move to a less drafty area before relighting.

*Always store your candles in a cool, dark, and dry place. Avoid placing your candles where they will be directly exposed to sunlight or harsh indoor lighting.

*Always leave at least ½" of non-molten wax at the bottom of the candle. Do not allow to burn all the way out as it can compromise the integrity of the vessel and cause damage to furniture and surfaces.

*Never burn a candle unattended.
